Info

10 MOST IMPORTANT THINGS:

  1. No ranks, no moderators, no special plugins/commands - (except for 1)

  2. The 1 command exception is /trigger turret_settings, used to configure turrets.

  3. Turrets are essential to defending against zombies (check recipe book)

  4. Gun and ammo recipes are found in a crafting table recipe book.

  5. Gun controls are: F to reload (offhand key), Right Click to shoot. Crouch to aim.

  6. Every 7 days there is a bloodmoon, that spawns LOTS of zombies

  7. Bloodmoons are incredibly difficult without a turret-defended base.

  8. Zombies are incredibly difficult to fight by hand, craft guns and ammo.

  9. Certain variants of zombie can break and build, be wary.

  10. Have fun and play fair! (Shooting people is fair game!)

SURVIVING WILL NOT BE EASY
This is not a server suitable for beginners. Even veteran players of Minecraft may die frequently. If you aren't an experienced Minecraft player but still want to experience the thrill of the apocalypse, it is recommended that you either play with friends or form teams/alliances with other people on the server. There are many zombie variants in this server. Some can sprint, some can break, some can build. There are many more variants aside from just those 3, but they are the most important ones. Every 7 in-game days, an event called "The Bloodmoon" happens, where hordes of zombies will spawn around you, at which point you must have either built or found a safe, defended base, or you run for your life. There is also the option of digging into a 3 deep hole and covering yourself up but you will have to deal with a horde of zombies once you come up.

PLUGINS & DATAPACKS
This server has the bare minimum in terms of datapacks and plugins. The most important features on this server are GamingBarn's Zombies and Guns. Secondary features like anti-cheat, anti-lag, anti-xray, are off to the side and will most likely not impact the experience of an average player. There are a few additional plugins, such as the Bloodmoon plugin, and the HideNametag plugin - which disables nametags, making your hidden underground base just that much more hidden from other players. There are no other notable special plugins, which means no /shop, /home, /tp, no crate keys nor land claims. There are also no admins to troll you on this server, nor any moderators to govern how you play. Typical gameplay on this server is not unlike a normal survival world or vanilla server, other than the addition of guns and zombies.

DEFEND YOUR BASE
Zombies are a threat that is all-prominent on this server. However, you can craft turrets to clear zombies around your base. Other players, however, are a different matter. Your turrets can still be used to shoot and deter other players, however there is a bug right now that makes your own turrets shoot you (ONLY IF you set your turret to shoot players). You may also want to try using traditional methods of protecting your base from other players such as building your base far away or hiding it underground. (Nametags are also disabled, people will not see you through walls). If all else fails, you can still defend your base by yourself, as most likely griefers are new players who don't intend to stay for long.

DON'T PUT ALL YOUR VALUABLES IN ONE SPOT
Although it is simpler to have only one base, it is extremely risky as a single break-in may set you back to the beginning. It is recommended to build multiple bases, hidden or not, in many different places, splitting your resources between them all, or putting your most-valuables in an enderchest or your most secure base. When inviting new players into your "faction", you can also direct them to a minor base, that way your losses will be much less severe if they turn out to be a griefer.

GRIEFING
Although griefing is technically permitted by the lack of any special plugins or moderators to prevent it, the act is not recommended. If you decide to be on the bad side of other people, you may lose the support you need to survive bloodmoons. Players who join the server only to grief and leave are usually under-prepared and will likely die to first lines of defense such as turrets or mines, as long as you put them down.
