Valentine's Festival | Ruined Pyramid Dungeon | Oysters & Treasure Chests — 2/10/25

Blockhead Odyssey has entered the season of devotion, danger, and celebration.

We’re excited to announce that our Valentine’s Festival content is now live, headlined by a brand-new seasonal questline, a festive NPC hub, and major progress on one of our most ambitious dungeons to date.

🌸 The Festive Florist (Now Open)
A new seasonal NPC has arrived in the overworld, offering limited-time Valentine content. Players can trade bulk flowers, ingredients, and premium currencies for exclusive Valentine dishes, bouquets, and keepsakes. This system is designed as a meaningful item sink, rewarding gathering and participation rather than quick shortcuts.

💖 Matters of the Heart — 17-Quest Valentine Storyline
At the center of the festival is a 17-quest seasonal series titled Matters of the Heart.
This questline unfolds step-by-step, guiding players through:

• 
  Gathering specific flowers (one bouquet at a time)
• 
  Crafting Valentine bouquets
• 
  Delivering them to NPCs across the overworld
• 
  Culminating in special keepsakes and festival rewards

Progression is intentionally paced to encourage exploration, interaction, and storytelling rather than rushing through objectives.

🏺 Ruined Pyramid Dungeon — Major Polish Pass
We’ve also completed a significant polish pass on the Ruined Pyramid dungeon, tightening visuals, encounters, and progression flow throughout the experience.

This includes substantial work on the Temple of Anubis, a sacred and dangerous space that now serves as the gateway to one of Blockhead Odyssey’s most formidable challenges yet.

⚔️ World Boss: Anubis, God of Judgment
Those who manage to complete the three trials and break the seals in the Temple of Anubis will open a portal to face Anubis himself—a true world-boss encounter designed for coordination, preparation, and courage. This fight represents a major milestone in our dungeon and boss design philosophy, blending lore, mechanics, and spectacle.


⏳ Seasonal Availability
Valentine content is available for a limited time. Access to quests and festival trades will be retired after the season ends, making this a perfect moment to jump in, explore, and take part in something special.

Oysters & Treasure Chests
Almost forgot, we've added oysters and treasure chests to Pyrofishing! Oysters can be fished up as a Silver Tier catch. Crack them open, there is a chance to get some oyster meat or one of eight different pearls that will have uses in the future, but for now are pretty cool collector's items. Waterlogged treasure chests can be fished up at the Platinum level, and these contain a rare collectible from current or past monthly collections! More fun things coming to Pyrofishing in Odyssia and Blockhead Odyssey in general!

Limited Time to Complete "Matters of the Heart" Quest Series | Roadmap 2026 | Inactivity Rules - February 14, 2026

Happy Valentine's Day! I'm still here, working on Blockhead Odyssey to make improvements and additions that will provide things to do far into the future. Remember, the new Valentine's quest series, Matters of the Heart, is only available during the month of February, as March will bring new limited quests and seasonal experiences surrounding St. Patrick's Day! That gives you two weeks to get those collectibles, consumables, quest completions, and a cool tag/title!

Also in the works for the near future are the completion of Harbormaster Dan's deliveries revamp, continued improvements to the Ruined Pyramid dungeon, the completion of the Temple of Anubis seals, and the introduction of the Egyptian god himself! I have a roadmap for more seasonal events, big supplemental additions to Pyrofishing, the realization of my pirate ship world events, and more!

Don't forget to check in occasionally! If you're VIP, you're stuff is safe, and we have generous grace periods for those who burn out for a bit. There are, however, inactivity rules in place for non-VIP members! See #rules to make sure you know how long your builds will stay while you are away. We do not reset the main world, but we have no intention of becoming the Minecraft version of Storage Wars. :D Simply logging into the server should reset your timer; it just let's us know you are still alive and aware of our existence.

8 Days to Complete Matters of the Heart Quest Series | Aether Stone Salvage System | Blockhead Odyssey Lore Channel - February 20, 2026

Time is Running Out - Eight days left to complete the "Matters of the Heart" quest series. Honestly, I'm not sure anyone has bothered to complete it. With a 17-quest series and the addition of a variety of rewards, I've tried to keep content fresh and exciting, but the perceived indifference has really blunted my motivation to continue at the pace I have been updating the server since last February.

Aether Stone Recycling - Presently it is my intention to make recycling the only way to craft Aether Stones. These are ancient tablets, not freshly hewn blocks of stone. Recycling allows players to recover materials from the stones they don't find useful and invest those materials into stones that better suit their playing style. I am also adding Cracked Blank Aether Stone to the game, which can be repaired with the same adhesive, Aetherbind Resin, that can be used to assemble the statue fragments found in dungeons.

Adventures are Stories for Telling - We have a new channel in Discord #odyssia-lore where storylines will progress that make our server's lore come alive. I am excited about tying everything together with narrative storylines and I think this is a pretty unique feature of an SMP server. If you are interested in starting a storyline recounting adventures in your corner of Odyssia, let me know.

First TikTok video posted! | "A Change of Luck" - March Quest Series | March Collectibles Available - March 6, 2026

Our First TikTok Video is now posted on our new TikTok account. https://www.tiktok.com/@blockheadodyssey/video/7614327702169931022 We plan on regularly scheduling these as well as marketing on multiple other platforms. T-Shirts are being made as we speak! I will post the design here and you can order one if you like. Any other content creators who would like to help us advertise our awesome server, let me know! I want to add some perks for those of you who go above and beyond!

"A Change of Luck" Still plenty of time to help Seamus the Unlucky find the source of his bad luck and turn his outlook around. We're hoping for an even better turnout than we had for the Matters of the Heart February Quest Series. I do like my Valentine's Teddy Bear and Flower Vase among the other rewards I got for completing the 17-quest series. You can do it too...NEXT FEBRUARY. So seriously, don't miss this 16-quest series that will only be available during the month of March!

March 2026 Collectibles are on the server and in all the relevant loot tables. We have Kermit the Frog Plushie, Teddy Bear (This one has no heart, unlock the Valentine's quest reward), Coral Snake Plushie Kill snakes for the current seasonal quest line, but the snakes are here to stay!, Red Panda Plushie is the price of giving your best friend access to the backend of your server, Leprechaun Garden Gnome gives you Luck II for 30 minutes and RTPs you to the Outlands (4 hour cooldown), Enhanced Explosive Shovel is another Slimefun-like item we've brought back to the server, Lucky Horseshoe Magnet has half the range of the Arcane Magnet and you have to hold it in your offhand, but it's effect is passive so you don't have to crouch to vacuum items in a 4-block radius. Ides of March Dagger is the first bladed weapon I've included in the collectibles, but it is pretty awesome for backstabbing damage.
