Vanilla survival server with a real economy bolted on and nothing else changed. No claims, no protection plugins, no kits, no ranks that make you stronger. If you want your base to survive, hide it properly.
The economy is other players
Most servers give you a shop and call it an economy. This one has an auction house, buy orders and a sell chest, and the interesting one is the middle one: you post what you want and what you will pay for it, the money is held up front, and anyone can fill it while you are offline. Every price on the server is a price somebody chose.

Special items you cannot buy with money
There is a second currency called Grit. You earn it by playing and by voting, you cannot buy it, you cannot sell it, and it is the only thing that buys the good tools. That is deliberate. Nobody turns up on day one with the full set.
The Riftbreaker, a 3x3 drill with your choice of Silk Touch or Fortune
Ore Crushers, turn plain stone into ore, in three grades
Sell Axe, hit a chest and it becomes money
Lumber Axe, one swing takes the whole tree
Spawners that produce into a vault instead of spawning mobs, so they make no lag, and they keep filling while you are logged off
Bounties
Anyone can put money on anyone. Kill them inside the combat timer and it is yours, crystals and all. Check what you are worth with /bounty, and think about who you have annoyed.
Ranks that do not touch the game
Ranks raise four numbers and put your name in a colour. Homes, auction slots, order slots, quick buy slots. That is the entire list. No items, no money, no powers, no advantage in a fight or in the market. Nothing renews by itself and there is no card kept on file.

Scamming, stealing and griefing are allowed. Cheating and slurs are not
Server side anti x-ray and anti ESP. Chests behind walls are not sent to your client at all
