odio el chocolate is a fan-made school horror game you play in the browser. It is first person, single player and built around one small job: find the chocolates, keep an eye on the doors and get out of the school.
The school looks like it was decorated from a folder of internet jokes: pale walls, pink corridors and characters that seem friendly until they get in the way. Most of a run is spent walking hallways, stepping into classrooms and deciding whether one more detour is worth it. A room that helps you early can turn into a dead end when you are in a hurry to get back, so remembering the door you came through matters more than any sign on the wall.
First run
Start with the Low Cortisol mode while you learn the controls; the menu recommends it for a first game and describes it as the easier option. A counter in the top corner tracks the chocolates you still need (it goes from 0/3 to 1/3 after the first one), so you always know how far the current objective is from done. There are four named modes in total, each with its own description in the selector.
Controls
W A S D: move around the school
Mouse: look around and aim at objects
Left click: open doors and pick up chocolates
Left Shift: run while you have stamina
Right click: use the selected item; 1, 2, 3 pick an inventory slot
Escape: pause or release the mouse pointer
The browser version needs a keyboard and mouse and loads about 120 MB the first time. It is a horror game aimed at adults. The site itself is in Spanish.
