GoonZu New Era

GoonZu is a 2D MMORPG with an anime aesthetic that blends classic genre staples with a unique player-driven socio-economic layer. The title is free-to-play with an optional item shop.

GoonZu — the player as ruler. At the core lies the office of the GoonZu: a leader elected in open votes by each server’s community. The winner gains real influence over the world’s direction—prestige, in-game administrative privileges, and responsibilities toward other players.

A world shaped by the community. Politics, trade, and player relations are first-class systems. Player decisions affect prices, each server’s local rules, and even community events.

Character Progression & Gear

Usable gear is created exclusively through crafting. Each weapon or armor type requires the corresponding crafting specialization. Weapon skills and class spells can be upgraded, unlocking stronger effects and synergies with equipment.

Crafting, Upgrading & Personalization

Upgrading weapons adds elemental bonus damage; as the rank rises, further upgrades become harder.
Crafting splits into production skills (specific gear parts) and gathering skills (resource acquisition). Crafted items roll random stats, with a rare chance of a Masterwork Item and an even rarer Perfect Item—the latter can reach up to +300% of base stats.

Player-Driven Economy

Commerce includes city stocks. Investors profit from well-run cities, and share ownership lets players meaningfully influence the election of the “town head.”

Political System & GoonZu Elections

Politics centers on the election cycle and the powers of elected officials. The administration regulates events and sets the timing of daily bonuses, directly shaping server activity.

Hunting & Hunting Grounds

Your core task is hunting and harvesting materials from monsters—the backbone of the crafting loop. Hunting Grounds are level-gated: the higher your character level, the tougher the zones and the better the drops needed to craft top-tier gear.

Community & Organizations

Cities and Guilds form the social backbone. Guild members level up the guild together; each new level increases the member cap and grants all members additional status points.

Free-to-Play Model & Item Shop

The game is F2P, and Premium items rotate monthly in the shop. They provide faster progression and quality-of-life boosts (e.g., better inventory management, improved gathering, shorter downtimes) while remaining optional. Access follows a gacha model, but these items are also obtainable in-game through methods available to F2P players.
