Join the ORION 2 public beta and help shape an Old School RuneScape private server with a custom world, flexible progression and goals beyond level 99. Explore, test combat, try different builds and tell us what needs work.

EARN EXCLUSIVE REWARDS FOR THE LIVE LAUNCH

Your beta contribution earns rewards on your live account. Qualify during beta and claim your rewards when ORION 2 launches. These rewards are earned for useful testing and feedback.

• BETA PIONEER
  Complete 3 active testing hours across at least 2 days and submit 1 accepted test report.
  Live rewards: the permanent “Beta Pioneer” title and an exclusive cosmetic Beta Cape.
• BETA VETERAN
  Complete 10 active testing hours across at least 3 days and submit 3 accepted reports covering different test areas.
  Live rewards: all Pioneer rewards, permanent Topaz rank and one additional perk preset, up to the normal account limit.
• BETA FOUNDER
  Complete 20 active testing hours across at least 5 days and submit 6 accepted reports, one for each test area listed below.
  Live rewards: all Veteran rewards plus the exclusive cosmetic Orion Wisp pet.
• BUG HUNTER — SPECIAL REWARD
  Be the first to privately submit a complete report of a serious bug that our team can reproduce, such as item duplication, unauthorized account access, permanent account or item loss, or a blocker to core progression.
  Live rewards: the “Bug Hunter” title and a Sapphire rank reward. This award can be earned once per person and has no minimum playtime requirement.

What counts? Active testing and accepted, useful reports. A report confirming that a feature works also counts when it includes clear test steps and results. AFK time, bots, free beta equipment and instantly maxed skills do not count towards qualification.

The six test areas: onboarding and progression; combat and equipment; Slayer and skilling; banking, trading and shops; perks, Prestige and Collection Log; travel, interfaces and client behaviour.

How rewards work: hours, days and report counts are totals, not extra requirements for each tier. Pioneer, Veteran and Founder rewards accumulate. Bug Hunter is a separate award and upgrades the beta rank reward to Sapphire instead of granting both rank rewards separately. Existing higher ranks are preserved, with rank rewards credited towards rank progression.

Rewards are account-bound, limited to one live account per person, and awarded after the team verifies your test contributions. Confirmed reward eligibility survives beta progress resets. The Beta Cape and Orion Wisp are cosmetic, beta-exclusive and will not be sold in the store. Share test reports and arrange verification through Discord; report security issues and exploits privately.

GET STRAIGHT INTO TESTING

Our beta testing shop provides free equipment and supplies. An Account Guide can also set your skills to level 99, letting you jump into content and test encounters. You can still choose to test the normal progression experience.

CHOOSE YOUR PLAYSTYLE

Choose your account type and XP mode separately. Play a Standard account or take on an Ironman challenge, including Hardcore and Ultimate Ironman options.

• Regular: 150x Combat XP / 100x Skilling XP.
• Challenge: 50x Combat XP / 75x Skilling XP.
• Elite: 5x Combat XP / 5x Skilling XP.

Rates and balancing may change during beta.

EXPLORE ORION 2

• A custom world: Discover Seabright, Oakrest and Felwind, follow starter tasks and travel using gliders and teleports.
• PvM, Slayer and skilling: Test encounters, training routes, equipment and progression.
• Perks: Explore PvM, Skilling and Utility perks, Echo Shards and equipped perk slots.
• Prestige: Work towards progression beyond level 99 across Combat, Gathering and Production.
• Collection Log: Track supported reward unlocks and find your next collection goal.
• Player economy: Standard accounts can use player trading and the Trading Post.

HELP US MAKE ORION 2 BETTER

Tell us what feels rewarding, what is confusing and what needs fixing. A useful bug report includes what happened, what you expected, where it happened and the steps needed to reproduce it. Screenshots or a short video help.

You do not need to find a new bug to give useful feedback. Testing a feature and reporting that it works is valuable too.

BEFORE YOU JOIN

ORION 2 is in active beta development. Expect bugs, balance changes and occasional interruptions. Some features may be incomplete or temporarily unavailable. Check Discord for current beta information and any announcements about progress resets.

START YOUR BETA JOURNEY

1. Use the website link on this listing to find the Windows beta client.
2. Extract the complete ZIP and launch the application. Java is included, and the launcher checks for updates automatically.
3. Choose your account type and XP mode, then speak to the Orion Guide at Home.
4. Join through the Discord link on this listing to share feedback and follow development.
