OreWars

Every day a treasure is hidden somewhere on the OreWars map, and the first player to reach it keeps what is inside. The clues come out at noon and at 16:00 Central European time on the website and on Discord, and the last one comes out in the game at 19:30, half an hour before the evening boss. On weekdays it lies in the safe ring, and at weekends it moves out to the risk ring and holds more.

Far out in the lawless ring stands an old vault full of netherite, totems, elytra and diamonds. It fills up again every Sunday, and because nobody has robbed it yet, the new loot went on top of the old, so it now holds two weeks of it. Anyone who plays an hour on OreWars by the end of October keeps the Pioneer title for good. Even without joining, you can put a pin on the map at orewars.org/guess where you think the day's treasure lies, and if a player finds it, the spot shows at midnight so you can see how close you got.

Every evening at 20:00 Central European time, a world boss rises on OreWars if anyone is online. The chat warns 30 and 5 minutes ahead and gives the coordinates when it appears. You can fight it alone, though it gets tougher with every player who joins, and if you do a fair share of the damage and are alive in the arena when it falls, you earn a prize like diamonds, totems or netherite. We picked one hour so players can find each other.

OreWars is a PvP survival server for Java Edition 26.3 where the good ore is a long way from your base.

The map has three rings around spawn. You start in the safe ring, where PvP is off and you can claim land for a base. Nobody can break into your base while its upkeep is paid, and you pay the upkeep by putting ore into the base. The ground in the safe ring only has coal and copper, so for iron and gold you have to go out to the risk ring. When you carry valuables there you are flagged for PvP, which means other players can attack you, and if you die while you are flagged you drop everything. Diamonds are only found in the lawless ring at the edge of the map, where PvP is always on.

There are no teleports and no ender chests, so the only way to get your ore home is to walk it back through those rings.

The outer rings also have ruins that you can capture, and a ruin gives you a steady income for as long as you hold it. World bosses appear without warning, and a boss can drop a weapon that you cannot get any other way.

You do not need to install anything to join, and nothing that is sold on the server helps you in a fight. The server opened on 11 October 2026, so it is still new.
