General Information

The following information is accepted by every player on the server:

Introduction:

SteeltonMC is a Semi-Vanilla server that is set on Hard Difficulty. You may claim your land which protects you and your builds from other people. PvP, raiding, and stealing are all allowed for unclaimed locations.

We offer a safe and positive community excited to meet new gamers. Our vision is to create the perfect Survival server with a good group of players who all have something to offer. Run by a small and interactive Staff team consisting of our long-lasting members.

So please, come and join us. We have a lot to offer and would love to share all we have made over the years. 

General information:

Our server is focused on Hard Survival gameplay.

We do have various plugins that are selected to help enhance and improve the Vanilla gameplay experience.

This includes but is not limited to a player-run economy with player made chest shops. Various jobs for earning income, ability to teleport to one another, and set multiple home locations. We have plugins that extend upon Mob Combat, Fishing, and Mining mechanics to encourage long-term progression and interest.

All of our plugins and custom configurations are carefully balanced and deployed in a way that does not take away from the game and nothing is forced upon you.

Rules:
 

We do have some basic rules and community guidelines we ask everyone to follow and respect.

No Hacking, Spamming, or Advertising
Treat all players the way you wish to be treated.
No hateful or derogatory statements toward anyone.

Below you will find more specific situation Rules and the enforcement of such.

TP Killing is allowed. While this action is heavily discouraged and forbidden to be performed on Guests. Continued actions will result in a demotion to "Untrusted" and a low reputation on our server.
 
Non-Consensual PVP and killing from users who are above Member are strictly limited. Trusted, all Donation Ranks and Staff are heavily discouraged from taking part in unlawful and distasteful actions. Remember, you are setting an expectation for everyone else to follow. Actions will be taken against the offender which may result in loss of rank and privileges after a warning is provided. You are absolutely allowed self-defense and allowed to keep people off your property/claim at all costs.

Claim abuse and or Claiming near other players where the object is to "Grief" or cause an issue is also allowed. Once again this is heavily discouraged and will result in an Untrusted Rank as well as a low reputation.
 
Using the Dynmap for an unfair advantage to PVP and or Grief will result in Untrusted, which revokes the use entirely.

Suicidal talk and or mention of self-harm is strictly prohibited. A lot of people have real and personal struggles that may not come across as appropriate for others to be discussing in public. We politely ask you to seek professional help and keep these topics out of our server. Please refer to the following number for immediate help. Suicide Hotline 800-273-8255.

Exploiting the server and or cheating is strictly not allowed. You are expected to report anything that may be a potential problem.

Abuse of Shop Plugin and creating shops in other people's plots are not allowed under any circumstance. Repeated offenses will be dealt with appropriately.
 
The staff has a final judgment call which they may use to keep the server's best interest at heart. 

AFK Farms are not allowed. You will be kicked if found. 
 

Client-side modification exceptions:
Modifications that are cosmetic and/or do not give you an unfair advantage over other players (Optifine, minimaps, etc.) are allowed.

Guidelines and etiquette:

We have a community that consists of players from around the world, all of the different races, religions, and genders. Treat everyone with respect regardless of anyone's indifference.

Welcoming new players is a great way to make new friends, and send a warm welcome to potential community members. It is not advised to speak in an immature manner while greeting someone new to our server.

Staff members will occasionally ask for feedback and input from the community. We make sure to listen and act on things if there is a public need. Please contact us directly below if there is something that needs our attention immediately.

Grief Prevention and Claiming:

 
How to use:
 

To make a claim, you may type /Claim which will automatically create a large area that is protected from others. This includes PvP, breaking blocks, and stealing from chests. Claims can also be created manually by taking out a wooden shovel and right-clicking on two opposite corners. This region will expand all the way into the sky, and automatically claim down as you build. 

You are given a set amount of claim blocks when you join the server and automatically accumulate more as you are online. The claim blocks can also be bought with in-game money. 

A player can Right Click with a stick to see the outline of his claim. 

Claims will automatically expire after 30 days of inactivity. Please message the staff if you are going away for a prolonged period of time. We will protect it for you. 

Players are advised to protect their builds and items from Raiders and Griefers. While our server does not partake in these activities much, it is better to be safe than sorry.

Commands:
 

/AbandonClaim Deletes the claim you're standing in.

/ClaimExplosions Toggles if explosions are allowed in the claim.

/Trust Gives another player permission to edit in your claim.

/UnTrust Revokes any permissions granted to a player in your claim.

/AccessTrust Gives a player permission to use your buttons, levers, and beds.

/ContainerTrust Gives a player permission to use your buttons, levers, beds, crafting gear, containers, and animals.

/TrustList Lists the permissions for the claim you're standing in.

/SubdivideClaims Switches your shovel to subdivision mode, so you can subdivide your claims.

/RestrictSubclaim Restricts a sub claim so that it inherits no permissions from the parent claim.

/BasicClaims Puts your shovel back in basic claims mode.

/PermissionTrust Grants a player permission to share his permission level with others.

/Untrust All Removes all permissions for all players in your claim.

/AbandonAllClaims Deletes all of your claims.

/GivePet Gives away a tamed animal.

/ClaimsList Lists a player's claims and details.

/IgnorePlayer Ignores a target player's chat messages.

/UnIgnorePlayer Un-ignores a target player's chat messages.

/IgnoredPlayerList Lists all players currently ignored.

/Trapped Gets a player out of a land claim he's trapped inside.

*You lose half of your claim blocks when abandoning or deleting claims.*
